Default What Cam to go with?

Hi Guys

Well since I am from Canada and nobody knows anything about Mustang's around here I figured that I would come to you guys for some help. What I have is a 89 Mustang LX 5.0L I replaced the motor about a year ago and of course they screwed up and put the wrong cam in it so the next thing that I am doing is a 351 Cam on a 302 motor. What Cam would you guys suggest I still have 3:08 gears so I think that I would like to see a cam that would give me more power at lower RPM's.

Anyways here is the list that I have done so far:

Under Drive Pulley's
Electric Ford Racing Fan
MSD Box, Coil, Cap, Rotor, and Wires
Air Intake With K&N Filter
Vortech 73mm Mass Air
Summit Racing Water Pump
Jet Performance Racing Chip
New Headers and Flowmaster 40 series Exhaust
Center Force Clutch
Traction Bars
Front Brake Lock
Front and Rear Sway Bars
New Gas Shocks
New Braking System

Thanks for your time

Honestly I would stay with the stock cam for now. Get some other mods and better gears and you will really wake the car up.

Will changing the cam make a difference at all? I know that changing gears will make a huge difference but I am a little worried about gam prices. I only get 220Km on tank as it it.

You might lose more milage with a cam swap than gears, even 4.10's. In fact most times your around town milage will get better with 4.10's. The stock cam is not really all that bad, now if you had heads then I would say yes get the cam. Get long tube headers, and a better upper/lower intake combo, maybe get 1.7 roller rockers as well. These are things that you would want with a new heads/cam combo anyway.

Well I planned on putting on a lower and upper intake from Edelbrock at the sametime as well as their injector rails so with that being said what cam would you suggest then, or stick with my stock one still?
