Default BBK h-PIPE PROBLEM!

I am having problems getting the stock header on a 93 5.0 to line up with my new BBK H-pipe. I called BBK and Summit and they are sending me a new pipe. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? It appears that the angle of the bend is not correct and the flang will not mate with the header. The passenger side fits perfect.

you do know that you need to jack up the rear of the Hpipe to get it to fit properly right?

Yes I do! Not the first one I have installed, the problem is to make it fit the back of the pipe has to be about a foot lower that it should. The angle at the front of the pipe is not great enough.

If you have a torch than I would just heat it up a bit and bend it to right length.
But since they are getting you another one I would just be paitent.

Got the new H-pipe today and installed it what a differance the first one We played with for about 3 hours trying to get the flang to mate up with the header. This one only took about 30 minutes for the entire thing. After compairing the two it appears that the female opening of the first was about a 1/4 to 3/8 inch deeper than the new one and I think that it was hitting the flang that hold the bolts on the header preventing it to fully seat this may have been able to be corrected by a little grinding.

Thanks, Preston
