4cyl to V8 Conversion PLEASE HELP
So here the story. I'm new to the forum but not to the 5.0. Im building a 5.0(Former EFI) that will be carbed. I recently bought a 1991 notchback from a guy that had a carbed 302 in it but he pulled it before i bought it. i ran the VIN (He told me it was a 93, but turned out to be a 91) and turns out, it used to be a 4 banger car. I'm aware that the wiring harness is different from the 5.0 harness because it was a 4cyl car and i have a few questions. I've removed the Engine Computer and removed the harness completely from the engine compartment. I'm not going to be running A/C,SMOG,Canister,EGR, any of that so its not an issue. since my motor will be carbed and the car use to be a 4cyl, basically i will be doing a 4cyl to 5.0 conversion AND a carb conversion at the same time. so amidst all of the wires and connectors i am EXTREMELY confused. Can anybody help me out with what i need to do to make this work? Im confused about what modifications I'll have to do to the wiring harness to get this motor running(former owner has wires cut on a harness coming from a brown connector near the brake booster.). I'm aware i'll have to put in an aftermarket pickup in the tank and run an inline carb fuel pump with a regulator going to the carb, and i know ill need a Duraspark II-type ignition system. I'm replacing the rear-end with an 8.8" and will be running a 5speed. Also, i still have the 4cyl instrument panel with the 85mph speedo in it, is there a way i can replace it with the 5.0 panel with the 140mph speedo? I apologize if this topic has been addressed before in another thread but I figured my situation was different from most threads

No help eh? well since this post ive started my engine bay shaving (Welding sux) and ive run the entire harness through the driver side fender. ive got everything labeled and just need to mount the starter solenoid and fabricate a cover to keep water out. i figured out the cut wires the former owner had running from an orange connector were probably for the factory gauge cluster. im going to remove the gauge cluster and mount autometer speedo, tach, volt, water temp, and fuel level gauges since the factory speedo only goes to 85
