I have a mark VII fan sitting in the basement and i wanted to install it on my car i was just wanting to know how everybody else on the forum has installed theres. Do you have to install it with the thermo or should i just run it all the time when the car is running

you can have it run all the time or you can hook it up to a temp switch that will turn it on over a certain temp.Easiest way is just to have it run all the time

Keep the Clutch Fan!!! there WAAYYYYYYYYYY better then those POS electric fans, i have friends that run them and dont have anything but probs, there always running way hotter than me! i would stick with the stock cluctch fan, it isnt drawing that much power from ur motor,

i have one off of some ol japanese thing from a junkyard, it stays nice and cool. all i did was run a wire from it to the fusebox to the fuze the cd player goes to, so when u turn ur key on..fan is on.

do it right and spend the 80 dollars on a flexalite VSC. thats how i installed many of LS1/LT1 fans. they are a dual fan setup and they fit right at home on a mustnag rad. use the VSC to turn them on anything you wish or have the probe sense when to turn them on. this is the best and safest way to do it

use a heat probe to turn it on and off. if you run it all the time, you will kill the fan. in winter my fan never even comes on. right now its 90* out and the fan still doesnt run all the time. i have my probe set for 185* with a 180* stat and it works great for me
