84 T5 swap
 

I searched and couldn't really find anything specific. I'm lookin at buying an 84 mustang with a built 302 and blown auto trans. How much would it cost to swap to a manual? What all parts would I need? I'm kinda new to this stuff so if there's a kit with everything I need, that would be nice. I'm not looking to spend more than $1000 on everything.

Alright I ended up finding an article on everything involved with an aod to t5 swap and it's alot more than what I'm wanting to do so I think I'm going to just put another aod in it. Will one out of a 95 gt work in an 84?

the t5 swap isn't THAT difficult, pedals/trans/crossmember/clutch/shifter, that about covers it, everything can be bought nearly as cheaply as a newish rebuilt aod, and the aod will still be slower

I went through 3 aods on 14 months. They are trash. T5 FOR 250 BUCKS CINCINNATI CRAIGLIST.
