stock lower intake

Default stock lower intake

how can i identify if i have a stock lower intake i know my upper intake is a gt 40 and would gt 40p heads be worth 200$

A GT40 top will not bolt up to a stock bottom. The 8 intake holes on the stock intake are oval shaped and all lined up straight. Not offset like the GT40/Cobra/Explorer.
The heads are worth 200 bucks if in decent shape. They do require special headers due to spark plug location. The non-P GT40's are a direct bolt-on but usually do not have the cross-over holes in the back for the smog pump pipe.

just out of curiousity how do you "know" that your upper is gt40? the little plate doesn't mean jack

thanks,what heads are better p or non p

just out of curiousity how do you "know" that your upper is gt40? the little plate doesn't mean jack
well ive been told its a gt 40 heres a picture what do you think or do i have to look for some kind of number on the intake

pretty one too, and the heads are pretty similar the biggest difference being the egr and plugs, I've worked on p heads and the p stands for pain in the *** because those plugs weren't fun with headers

thanks so if am thinking about porting them and upgrading springs after headers its really not worth it or would the gain of hp make it worth my time and money
