AC Clutch Installation - Need Help
I'm replacing the ac clutch on my '94 GT conv. I'm having problems installing the new clutch hub onto the shaft. AutoZone gave me two different installer tools, but neither one worked. What type of installer tool do I need to get it installed onto the shaft?

Seems I remember a bolt in front remove. Remove clutch plate, screw driver between field and plate. Look inside field(with hub bearing) there is a snap ring, remove. Install is reverse. Do not get happy with tightening that little bolt in front. You will break shaft. Only like 100 inch pounds. Someone come on in with the right torque.

There are three parts - the inside (first one installed) is the ring that has the wiring plug on it. I have installed that without a problem. The next part is the pulley, which has a bearing at the center. That is the one I'm having a problem getting onto the shaft. I can't find an installer tool that will fit. There is a small screw hole in the center of the shaft (the third part - the plate, attaches with a small screw). I'm not sure if it would damage the shaft if I tapped on the pulley to get it onto the shaft. There has to be a tool somewhere that will work to install the pulley onto the shaft. Any help out there?

Tried several tools from AutoZone. None of them will work. The only thing for a tool to fasten to on the shaft is with the screw hole that the screw fits in while installing the clutch plate. None of the tools would attach through the hole.
