OK I JUST BOUGHT ME A 1989 MUSTANG GT. I KIND OF GOT TIRED OF CAMAROS AND FIREBIRDS KILLING MY 1971 MUSTANG GRANDE ALL ITS GOT IS ITS STOCK 351C. SO I BOUGHT ME THIS 5.0 RIGHT I NEED HELP, BECAUSE I MEAN I HAVE ABOUT $8,000 SAVED TO PUT IN IT BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO GET IT WHAT I WANT IS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF IT WITH OUT USING ANY NOZ. CAN ANY ONE HELp ME?

Firs, welcome to the forum. Second, stop yelling (caps). I would start with gears first, 3:73's sound good and get yourself a blower and you should be good. I mean if you are willing to spend $8000.00 on your stang than go all the way.

So all i need is a blower ???? How much hp will i end up with?? Will it be enough to kill Chevy's ???

I agree on the gears but get 4.10's. With $8000 I would do AFR heads, 75mm throttle body, long tube headers, upper and lower intake, a cam, also you will need upper and lower control arms and a good tire like the M/T ET Street Radial. Basicly get every bolt on you can, then if it is still not enough go for the blower. I bet with $8000 I could build you a high 10 to low 11 second car.

Just a blower alone? No, you will need alot of other supporting mods to get the most out of it. Even then there alot of fast Chevys out there, so i would not set that as your goal. If you have an 11 second street car you will beat 90-95% of the cars on the road.

What about the Grande is there any hope for that heavy metal box? lol No seriously i mean it'll kill imports but wont have a chance against anything else what can i do to that or should i just sell it and use the money for the body on the 5.0 (2 Cool cars, or 1 fast n hot car?)

Thanks JD, I guess I could have been more specific. But with $8000.00 to spend with that amount of money it can take you a long way to build your stang.
