Default eclipse turbo on a mustan

I know where I can get a factory eclipse turbo for dirt cheap. My question is it possible to put it on a 92 mustang 5.0 HO. And if so what would it take to do it. I am mechanically competent but I dont have any experience with turbos. Help

Derek

uhhhh, I'm not realy into turbos because I stick with nitrous or blowers but I think you gotta have 2 of them since you have have a v-8 because there are two heads, exhausts etc. Sorry I couldn't help you much, maybe one of these other guys can. Jason

you need either one good sized turbo or two smaller turbos, that lil thing wont do much good unless you have two..

yea no point n even putting all that work in for that lil turbo... that thing pushes a what 2.4 litr engine with maybe 160 hp comapred to your 5.0 lol

You can put a single turbo on a stang, but it better be huge, and twin would be better. Like ppl said, a single GTS stock turbo will no hardly anything for you, if you have it, sell it, and save up for a centrifugal supercharger.

pit - the turbos go with 2.0L 4 bangers pushing somewhere around 215hp - so they're a bit small even for a twin setup.

if your picking up a turbo from another car make sure the
liters are half or close enough to a 5.0
for ex. turbocoupe is 2.3 x 2 = 4.6 close to the stangs real liters 4.9..if you want a twin setup here are soem pics.http://www.turbomustangs.com/robd
