Get aftermarket lower control arms and throw the quads in the garbage. I have maximum motorsports extreme lower control arms with spherical bearings. I went with spherical bearings because the LCR'S with polyurethane bushings don't last very long. Ford put quads on as a band aid fix because the rubber bushings in the lower arms were to mushy causing the wheel hop. However you want to retain upper control arms with rubber bushings for correct suspension movement. I went with ford racing uppers to replace the mac's that had falling apart china poly bushings.

I removed mine when I replaced my control arms with a set from 50resto.com. No wheel hop now.

I got the SVE rear lower control arms with the adjustable spring cups from 50resto...grrreat! Before I got those, I was running 275/40R17 on 17x8 cobra Rs with flipped quads and had no clearance issues

I have aftermarket upper and lower control arms and was going to remove the quads, but I flipped them and I still have tire clearance so I left them on.
