hi everyone i just did my front crankshaft seal and it not sealing right anyone have anyone have anyclue what i did wrong later

did you put a thin layer of silicone on before you tapped the seal in

yes i did but i don't know if i put enough of it on i coated the whole slot

I always just used the paint on the seal when I do it. That is what it is there for. I may have a leak for a while but, it always evetually sealed off.

What slot are talking about? It has been a week since I have put in a Ford seal.

Tell us about what it was doing before you replaced the seal, and what's doing now. In particular, has the front cover ever been removed?

you may need a "repair sleeve" for the balancer.
