Default 93 4cyl, what harness for 5.0 swap

Swapping, re using 4 cyl tranny for *light daily driving* 5.0 swap.

Its a 93, question is, what engine harness will work? 91+93 a9L harness ok?

I believe I already have a 91 harness what color combo of plugs will confirm the harness I already have?

Dash harness, headlamp harness reusable? not enough info searching around that i wanted.

Pilot bearing for t5 is only thing to swap on trans?

Also, any advice on routing fuel lines/ throttle linkage is appreciated.

Already building a 347, and the 2.3 is my driver.

I'm swapping for v8 brakes from the 88 (the 88 has cobra disc swap front and rear)and 5 lug cobra rear. so 4 lug stock gt stuffwill be swapped to 4 cyl. Any other info for problems i may run into and advice to share is appreciated. Thanks !!

You have to swap fuel lines because the 4 banger comes out on the driver side instead of the passenger.

Yes 91-93 harness should be fine. I know there was a little difference somewhere in that year range but I can't remember what.

Your dash and headlight harness are the same.

You will want a 5.0 instrument cluster

If you are using the 4 banger t5 then yes you need to swap the pilot bearing and you will need a 5.0 bellhousing.

With the brakes, the 7.5 rear end brake line attaches to the rear end on the passenger side while the 5.0 does on the center.

little tip for the brake lines for ya, i felt like a dumbass when i realized this.

the 7.5 hardlines on the axle will fit over the 8.8 axle so just swap the hardlines and you wont have to worry about where the hose meets the axle.

im also curious to get a MAF harness for a mustang that will work on an A9L. i actually need to run a 351 with it.

The changes in the harness are for the air bag system and a few other small items that connect to the main body harness. The engine sensors are all pretty much the same for each of the MAF harnesses. The one thing you need to be sure to get right for the specific year and trans is the o2 harness.

Swapping the brake lines on the rear end itself will work just fine until you decide to run tail pipes. Then you have to bend the soft line over and secure it to the body so it doesn't rub.

im confused as to what your refering to as soft line.
i dont have any problems with tail pipe fitment. my tail pipes fit right over the axle and dont interfere with the brake hose or the steel lines.

the engine harnesses changed somewhere in the late 91 to early 92 model years if I remember right. when I swapped the drivetrain from my wrecked 90 to my 93 4-cyl. LX I had to get a harness from a 93 5.0 to properly connect to the chassis harness.

as far as the exhaust fitting, my tailpipes fit fine; no interference issues with the rear brake lines.
