Default What's that smell?

Well here goes my list of problems on my 95 GT 5.0.
First I went to jiffy lube and they have overfilled my oil (on the dipstick) by over 4 inches...and thats hot and cold, on a level surface. So tomorrow im going to change/drain it all etc.
BUT now i am getting this odd burning ruber smell (not like off the tires) from the passenger right side... not sure what is wrong with it.
Any ideas?

Also, know anything about struts/shocks that allow for camber/caster adjustments... apparantly my frame is bent around 1/4" and my camber can get no lower then -1.0 degrees. Need some info on that :-p Thanks

You could have spilled some oil when you were putting it in and its just getting hot on the headers or somethin( if you have em) and burning give it a day and it should go away if not then u got some problems.

well, i changed the oil today, put in motorcraft 10w40, and used a fram oil filter. I made sure to drain both plugs, no burning smell anymore, and the temp runs fine, but pressure (on the guage) is a little high... (it's reading in the "MAL" range, mostly towards the "AL") Is this normal or might I have a bigger problem such as a blown head gasket, or worse a cracked header...

My question to you is, why did you go through the trouble of fixing it yourself and not make Jiffy correct it?

I hear that. That's why I do my own oil change. Last time I ever had them change my oil they ended up using a damn impact wrench to put on the oil pan bolt.(at least it felt like that.) And they f****ed up the threads too.

*By the way, what do you mean by draining both plugs? I just bought my 95 5.0 and I'm planning on changing the oil soon.

on the oil pan, there's a plug in the front and a plug in the rear they aren't hard to find.

oh, and for DLAZRAEL ::: fram oil filters suck. shoulda used a motorcraft or somethin else. fram's are great for when its time to put a new one on, cause they have that grip on them... but they don't do a great job at filtering.
