Default Throwout bearing help?

Ok, i recently purchased a 94 gt 5 speed. The car was making a sorta squealing sound and i assumed it was the throwout bearing. Its sometimes worse and its not bad at times. not really hard to get into gear unless at low rpms but even then its not bad. Does this sounds like the throw out bearing? Also, how hard would one be to replace?

Unfortunately, you'll have to drop the trans to R&R the throwout bearing. Considering the car is a 94, once the tranny is out, you may want to consider doing the clutch as well since dropping the trans is the hardest part of the job. Your noise could also be the pilot bearing in the end of the crank, I've seen these go dry over the years and make some noise, ans you'll need a puller for that and a disc alignement tool when reassembling, though I see this included in many of the clutch packages available.

On a scale of 1-10 it shouldnt be that difficult should it? He said it has a ram clutch and a newer throwout bearing. The noise goes away after 1800 rpms and its just really annoying.

Bump, Car also has a miss now and bucking if your just trying to cruise unless you floor it then it starts running fine if you have the pedal to the floor. Tried cleaning the MAF and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated!

Bring it to a mechanic for the miss it has? Or the TOB? I plan on doing the TOB myself along with a new clutch. Thanks for the help!

both. Judging by your posts, you don't yet have enough technical knowledge about the car to help with the troubleshooting. At this point, if you would like a timely fix... find a good mechanic, and pay him. Get it fixed right, the first time.
