I was asked the question today how much HP does my car have. Well I didn't have a clue so I am asking here about the stock HP of a 89 5.0.

yea i think if its an auto its 205hp at the fly but im not possitive on that. i do know that 93 mustangs ford changed the rating and posted REAL hp numbers so 93s like mine came wit 205hp stock and they used different pistons too but there not any slower than an 87-92.

you have about 205 hp at the flywheel stock, all 87-93 stangs do.

no, that is bulloney. 225 is overrated, that is without a serpentine belt on, they really have 205 hp!

everywhere i read, 87-92 is rated at 225hp but 93 is rated at 205hp and there is no reason for this. the only reason i found was that ford changed how they rate hp and wanted to post real correct numbers so the 87-92 should realy be labeled as having 205hp
