How tight should the rear shock upper insulator bushing be on a 95 GT?

How tight should the rear shock upper insulator bushing be on a 95 GT?

I installed new rear shocks on my 95 Gt and wondering how tight should the top insulator nut be tightened to? Should the nut be tight where the rubber insulator looks like a pancake? Or is that to tight?

Should the rubber insulator be this tight? The rubber insulator looks flat as a pancake. Or is that to tight?

Or should it be this tight? The rubber insulator does not look like a pancake

i usually make them look like the top pic

the top pic is a bit on the "too tight" side... but it wont hurt anything.

I put it on tight enough to bring rubber to same dimension as the washer. That would be about what is between your pictures. Top picture-loosen. Bottom picture-tighten.
