Default FP Problems

what my car is doing is when i turn ignition on, i can hear fuel pump priming. It will start fine but 20 seconds after it started i hear what sounds like electrical noise coming from engine compartment. it is either the MAS or FP relay under MAS or something and then the car stalls and dies. when the car dies, all i hear is the FP running till I turn ignition switch off.
Can anyone help, plz

Hello My Name is Garry!
I am having the no fuel pump problem. First of all i had no inertia switch in my car was missing and the pig tail was there with a piece of wire hanging out of it like it had been jumpered. I have bought a new relay and replaced it still nothing i did put the jumper in and still nothing which pins on the relay do i provide the 12volts to and can i just jumper the inertia for now to see if fuel pump works. I did have a buddy put in new fuel pump and fuel filter still did not fix the problem. when i bought the car the guy said it ran good but was having intermittent fuel pump problems he had put a new pump in it as well.
and to which side on the inertia switch would I provide the 12v to to see if the pump will cycle??
Thank you

I had similar problems with my 1990 LX. I replaced the Ignition coil, fuel pump, fp regulator, tested the fp. It would start and idle fine, but then when I would try to drive it or give any throttle it would stall. I finally did get the car running nice and it turned out to be a combination of a bad distributor pick up and a failing ignition module (the little box on the distributor) Anyway the best advice I can give you is the same thing my mechanic told me. "Remember the basics." I thought for sure my problem was fuel related. Check your basics fuel pressure, spark strength, timing. I'm curious as to how common this happens; because, every fox I have owned needed more than one ignition module replaced.
