Default Missing at low rpm

After installing my new 306 it has a slight miss at idle and up to about 2300rpm. I dont have a msd 6al yet, and everything else is new. When I stomp on it the miss goes away. I am running a stock fuel pump and 24's I have my fuel pressure set at 40 and my timing at 14 base. Do you guys think I need a better ignition or is there something else going on?

reset the tps voltage, should be as close to 1v without going over, like .995-.999

I had a very similar problem, so a buddy of mine took my car out, threw it in 5th gear, then stepped on the gas. It was miss-firing badly, and it was only noticeable at low RPMs, so he figured it was a rocker arm, and sure enough, he was right. If you have one of those infrared guns that checks the tempurature of a given part, shoot the primaries from your headers, if one of them is cool, pop your valve cover and check your rockers.

Wow, I'm gonna have to try that on my car. I'm not too good at lashing valves.

the tps is the throttle postioning sensor, you set it using a voltometer. its located on the top of the throttle body and you adjust it but loosening the 2 screws and set it at about .98 or .99 volts

I redid the rockers and they were right. I was showing my car on friday I dont have a vacumm line going to my egr or my fuel pressure regulator. They were both plugged off. I was told thats my problem. I am supposed to run it at the strip Saturday so I will try that next. I also have really bad fumes comin from the pipes.....it will make your eyes water. I am going to fix the vacumm lines, install a new fuel filter, and I just purchased a big shot 150-300 wet kit. I need to get this car tuned before I put the nos on. One last question... how do you reset your computer? Disconnect the battery?
