Default '89 GT - Front Wheel Bearings - Torque

I searched online and found answers ranging from 12lbs - 250lbs of torque.

Does anyone have a manual that states the torque I should be putting on the nut in front of these bearings?

Thanks in advance!

If your talking about the nut that tightens the bearing.. you want to snug it such that you have a little drag on the wheel and then back it off to the next available hole / slot for the cotter pin to go through. Any tighter than this and you risk brinelling the bearing and/or causing brearing failure when it heats up / driving.

The diagram below is from the 89 Mustang Shop Manual, view Z (left hand lower corner) gives you the proper torque and sequence.
