Default Pics of my torque boxes what am i lookin at

You can see in the pics someone started to weld what look like my torque boxes. Is there something shady going on here should I buy a set of boxes is it bent?

why did he weld it the car was bone stock I want to be sure before i put my new rear in and my new arms. take a peak tell me what you think i can get better pics if needed

BTW the car is mint thats the worst of the rust under the car. its all getting grinded down cleaned and POR 15'd while motor trans rear and k member is all out. its not rusted out or thru anything anywhere

might be a good idea to throw some torque box reinforcements on there anyway while you have it apart, though. these things are pretty bad from the factory.

2 ways to do it that i know of:

- weld the seams to strengthen it up
- buy & weld (or bolt i guess) in reinforcement plates (this is what i did)

I just welded over the stock welds/seams on mine. But everything you have there looks stock.
