Default Ok, I give up

I have a 94 gt, mostly stock. Daily driven, with a CAI (autozone p.o.s) with Flowmasters. Approx 130,000 miles. I haven't been able to get this car to run anywhere near a number I want. I would be satisfied basically with a 14.99. To date the best is 15.3. I have done a tune up (didn't check timing but I think it's advanced because it knocks on 87 octane and runs fine on 92). I have about 500 passes on a strip under my belt so I consider myself a fairly experienced racer. I don't want to go crazy with slicks, just more or less wanting to get the most out of my present set up. Is this the best the car can do or is there some hidden speed? Any suggestions would be great.

I think that's about the best you can do with a CAI and Flowmasters. You could try weight reduction... take out the spare tire, back seat, etc.. go as far as you want..
More mods is about all you can do to post some signifigant time drops..

well since your in canada you probably run the 1/4 kilometer ? so yeah 15.3 is awfully slow....lol...just playin

whats your 60 foot like ? and mph at the traps ? is it a aod car or 5 speed ?

it's got a lot more in it its a 5-speed, most likely your cutting like a 2.2+ sixty which is killing ur ET

the car prob tags in about 3600 lbs too so keep that in mind

What track are you going to? Where are you located?

At those speeds a couple tenths isn't too hard to pick up. Post up a time slip!

I guess some of this would be important...lol. 5 speed car, my sixty is 2.2 leaving the line at 2500 - 3000rpm depending on what the track will hold. Mph is bout 89 mph (or 152 km/h I can play too...lol). I also have terminator wheels with the stock goodyears on them with about 95% tread. They are about 2 inches wider than stock. The only thing I haven't changed come to think of it is the cap and rotor, but they look fairly new. I'm just wondering if there is some hidden speed in this car because when you get beaten by a hemi pick up, something isn't right.

PS I was at NMRA last weekend, you know the slow red thing

Located in Windsor. I go to Milan, St Thomas, Norwalk and Grand Bend. Usually I'm at Milan.

The only hidden speed in your car is to pull the engine and put it in a fox Mustang.

Just kidding....................... or am I?

Well those times make sense at St.Thomas, but Norwalk is a pretty damn good track, you should be able to get your 60' times down a bit. Really gears will help you though.
