Default x-pipe noise

so i had a catted x pipe installed, and while driving it would make a "popping" sound and then finally accelerate. well today it bogged, popped and popped some more, and then wouldnt accelerate at all. it just coasted and was riding at 3k rpms. i parked it turned it off, and got back in a few hrs later and it wouldnt start. what gives?

so today i swapped the spark plugs and 02 sensors. got back in and realized that my fuel pump was not cutting on (priming... whatev)... i dont know if the above are related but now i have a larger/more complex problem. i am assuming the fuel pump is bad. any way to tell?
