88 door lock actuator troubles...
any one have some info on disconnecting the wiring from the actuator safely without damaging the harness connection point? I have tugged n the harness point quite a bit and it is not budging... i would like to get this fixed soon seeing as how all my passengers having to hop into my car dukes of hazzard style, and the ladies do not like this!

There is a small tab that has to be pressed down. I know this sounds wrong but you need to pull up on the plug, press the tab and then pull down and the plug will come off the actuator.
Now will the inside door latch unlock the doorI If the inside door latch wont unlock and open the door you have bigger problems that the acctuator.

i believe my 90 didnt have a tab or button to press to unplug the actuator.you should have 2 tabs that you slip a small screwdriver or a pick behind and pull them slightly up and pull the plug at the same time,i remember banging my hand on the inside of the door when it finally came unplugged.or you can always remove the actuator from the bracket and while still plugged in pull it to the opening on the door frame and youll see everything.thats what i wound up doing.my actuators were both frozen.one was stuck locked and the other was stuck unlocked.bought replacements from 50resto.the replacements are iffy but compared to the price of originals i couldnt complain.replaced mine 2 years ago and only had to swap one out again.
