1986 EFI 5.0:
The car wont start unless you really goose the throttle. It won't stay running unless the throttle is constantly revved. It then runns extremely rich. I have a scanner which stated that the eng. coolant is at -40f.
PS what is the little white control module for that is located near the clutch pedal. I know- it's not the clutch switch.

Maf based subarus won't idle with one of the vacuum lines on the intake disconnected.

but it sounds like a failsafe - something's borked.

start un pluging on thing at a time . and when nothing changes then that is the weak link.

hey guys i am new to mustangs but not to bad with genral engine work and i just bought a 87 gt it would not idle without goosing the throttle i tried everything new wires new map well actualy one aff another 5.0 and finally i yanked one of the plugs it was black and very dusty so i changed them and it ran fine i would check the plugs
