i took off my tranny and took off the pan and found this what is it and where does it go plz help

Looks like a plug, its an assembly line part, if I remember correctly they plug the dipstick hole with it and when they pop in the dipstick tube that falls in to the pan. It wont hurt anything but does not belong anywhere other than the trash

What he said^^....Just means that your trans filter has NEVER been changed! Makes me wonder about the fluid as well...

whats worse.. is your brand new redwood deck is tainted with tranny oil !!!!!

if you do a filter change....do yourself a favor and do a good shift kit. when i say good... i DO NOT mean TCI

baumann, lentech, precision industries

contrary to popular belief... a shift kit is BETTER for the trans, not harder on it... as oil starvation is how an automatic shifts smoothly
