..of oil do you use in your rides? I am interested in knowing what everyone thinks would be the best for the 5.0's. And, is it normal to hear a bit of chatter from the lifters? I can't figure out if its my lifters or perhaps a slight exhaust leak.

Used Mobil 1 20-50. Now because of a slight leak in the rear main seal I use conventional Mobil 10-30. The leak flows less with conventional than synthetic. And yes, a LITTLE chatter is normal, too much means bad roller on lifter or on rocker arm.

you guys shouldnt be using 20w50 in stock motors its just not a good oil to run in them. it will cause hard starts in the mornings. its just too thick of an oil

motor currently has 10w30 valoline in it for now, once running right and etc it will have RP 10w30

serious guys ditch that 20w50
