Default Rear End Howel

What could cause rear end howel while 'cruzing' around.

The rear end sounds fine while on accel and decel, but is loud while just cruzing?

. . . . yeaa....

my dad just put new 3.73 gears in his 12 bolt, and says he set the mesh good.

Started with a 34 thou pinion shim not to sure where he ended. But we did the gears in my car and after two years the rear end still is great.

He said he got a really good mesh. But just started noticing this problem.

(also sorry for the wrong section, i was on the fence where to put it)

Once the gears develop a *loud* whine, there's pretty much no getting rid of it...

That said, my FRPP 3.73's started out very, very noisy (compared to the stock 2.73's), but after about 5000 miles started to quiet down a bit (or maybe I'm just going deaf???). Same goes for my TKO-600.
