Oil pressure gauge

I have a stock oil pressure gauge that seems to be low all the time. i doesnt really move much? I know its stock... I dont plan in putting in a after market one. Does the sending unit or gauge go bad? Ive read that ppl have this problem with the oil pressure gauge. Any tips on fixing this?

Try a new sending unit, they are cheap. Simple to replace.

where is the sending unit located on a 1993?

would a bad sending unit give a code?

It's on the driver side in front of the oil filter. I do not believe it would trip a code.

mine would get low after the car warmed up i thought i had possible excessive main bearing clearance issues so before doing a teardown i replaced my sender and never had another issue.
