Hole in H-pipe from A/C
My a/c condensation drips onto my o/r H-pipe. The water collects or pools in the first bend of the right (passenger side) pipe closest to the headers. Over time the pooled water will corrode the pipe creating a hole. I've changed this four times all different brands with the same problem. The stock catted H-pipe did not have this occur because the 1st cat must have dispersed the water that dripped not allowing it to pool. Is there an easy fix i.e. rerouting the water with a hose or fabricating a plate for the water to hit before hitting the H-pipe. As a last resort I was going to wrap the pipe in header tape to cover/protect the bare metal. Any thoughts?

I don't have a fix for you but I have a suggestion. I would not run the header tape on a street car because when it gets wet it traps the water and will also rust out your exhaust.
