Default misfire/sputter, surging idle

so heres the story, i have been battling my 1993 mustang gt 5.0 for a few weeks now. it always runs fine when it is warm out but when the cold and rain move in, **** goes down. in the morning before school when i leave it idles alright, kinda rough but then as i put it in reverse and back up (standard) it starts to bog down and sputter, when i put it in first to head up the street i feather the gas and it bogs somewhat. as proceeding up the street giving it steady gas it sputters/misfires. im really not sure. but today i was going to leave school and i tried to start it up and the idle was around 150 to 350 rpm's and the car was shaking. it eventually stalled out and i went to start again and it just kept cranking and wouldnt turn over. i had a friend pick me up and came back 30 minutes later and started it up and got home. now it is just running really rough and feels like it has much less power. ive checked for vacuum leaks every where! ive been told it could be the MAP sensor. I would just like some input before i put money down. I cant run codes because engine light is broken.. lol. it has new spark wires, plugs rotor fuel filter and distributor. please let me know as soon as possible. thanks alot guys. im new here so sorry if i posted in the wrong place and it is nice to meet all of you

I had a similar problem a year or two ago, and it was that the timing was way off, so check the timing first. Also another possibility is the EGR Valve. Sometimes the EGR gives out and gets stuck and causes all sorts of havok with bucking and crappy idle. Another culprit could be the O2 sensor.

If your timing was off that far, you should consider verifying that your balancer hasnt spun. The ring on the outside of the balancer will break loose over time and will spin on the rubber subsurface. This will cause vibrations, and your timing will not actually be set correctly.

i will definatley check, it was 10 degrees retarded when i finally got ahold of a timing light, i might go ahead and replace the 02 sensors and EGR valve just to get ahead of the game

the brake power booster vacuum line was also barely hanging on, could that have caused a vacuum leak and made it run bad in the cold and rain?
