Default Pro-5.0 shifter

I recently purchased a Pro-5.0 shifter and installed it myself. I don't get to drive my car much because I'm away at school, but I was home over Thanksgiving and I powershifted 2nd and then hit 3rd and then the shifter was loose in my hand. Anyone else have this problem? I'm hoping it is just because I didn't tighten the bolts enough. Any suggestions to prevent it from happening again would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

just make sure you tighten it.......dont overtighten the base though it dont take that much to strip it.

I just put mine in and its just fine, make sure the **** is good and tight, the bolts to the tranny are tight, and the stop bolts are in the correct place.

They are about $190 and you can get them all over the place. I don't remember where I ordered mine from. It might have been summit or jegs. not sure.
