Default Having trouble locating Parts

I think this is the right place to post this, and if not, I'm sorry. today i bought a 1983 Mustang 302 5 speed convertible, and am having trouble locating aftermarket parts, such as engine parts, body parts, interior, etc. if anyone know of any sites that sell these parts, please let me know. Thanks

maybe you should give us a slightly more detailed list of the parts you are looking for.

You should be able to find some of what you're looking for here.

Many 83 parts will interchange with 84 parts.
Your 302 is still the flat tappet type (if it's the original) so engine stuff can be interchanged back to 1968.......

Thanks tinman. i was wondering that. where could i find the numbers on the engine that will tell me if it is original? i know it is an original 5.0 car, and the engine looks like it could be the original, but it definitly doesn't seem stock (power wise), so it makes me wonder.

Look for casting numbers on the block, they are hidden by the starter so you get to remove it..........

thanks tinman, and mattdel. im hoping i cand find some of the parts i need and want and i hope it is the original engine. im pretty sure it is because of brands of certain parts like the distributor, and other stuff, but i know that that doesnt mean anything for sure. the main thing that makes me wonder is the sound, and just the amount of power it seems to put out. i know the car was rated at 175 new, but im positive its putting out at least 250. i would like to get it dyno'd soon so i can know for sure.
