Default SN-95 GT vs Cobra Brake Booster

Anybody know what difference there is between an SN-95 V6/GT & a Cobra brake booster?

I ordered a Cobra brake setup for my foxbody from MPS Autosalvage. It included an SN-95 Cobra booster and master cylinder. Paid a fortune to have it all installed and it turns out the booster is bad (vacuum leak). I contacted MPS, and they agreed to send out a replacement ASAP. Well....a few days later it arrived, but I noticed on the shipping invoice it just said "94-95 brake booster". When comparing the one that was bad to the replacement, I noticed the bad one had a shiny factory sticker on it that said "Cobra". The replacement didn't. They also had different part numbers on another shiny little sticker. Obviously they sent me the non-Cobra version for a replacement.

I contacted them again, and again they agreed to ship out the correct one. This one took weeks due to them originally shipping it to the wrong person. Now that it's here, it looks in worse shape than any of the 3 (more rust).

Replacing this thing is going to be a pain in my ****, and I definately don't want to do it and bleed everything twice. The best looking booster is by far the regular v6/GT booster. While they have different part numbers, they look identical. When I look for a new one at the local parts stores, it's the same booster for v6/GT & Cobras.

Will there be a difference in one vs the other? Why the different part numbers plus the Cobra sticker from the factory?

The replacement boosters for the v6/GT/Cobra are all the same.......the MC however is different.

You don't have to bleed the brakes to replace the booster....just unbolt the prop valve from the strut and it should give you plenty of room to flex and manuver everything...
