ok, another question about rear brakes..
ok, speeding down the rd i get caught at a red light.. im on the brakes moderately hard.. the *** of my 95 mustang is way up in the air.. like a mare in heat. car has none e brake. so is it normal for the car to act like there is no rear brake? is it some how related to the lack of e brake? this is my first mustang.. so im trying to learn what the norm is on these beasts.. thanks in advanced!

Rear brakes do about 30% of the work.
What you're experiencing is called a nose dive, caused by the front brakes engaging before the rears. The proportioning valve is supposed to send fluid out back first, and when the pressure builds in the rear lines(they're engaging), the valve then opens up the front lines. This prevents nose dives, assuming your brake system works properly.
Having no e-brake is a symptom that goes together with the nose dive. I'd say you might have a couple bad calipers out back.

When you say you you have no e-brake, you mean no rear brakes at all?
Nose diving the way you did either way is common if your shocks or springs are shot.
Witht he car parked, go to each of the four corners of your ar and bounce the car a bit. It should bounce once. That's it. If the car "floats" or keeps moving more than one bounce, replace you're shocks, problem solved.

well guys i do know why i dont have a e brake... the cable from the handle to the little contraption that balances the pull on the rear e brake cables. is missing.. thats right cable and the balancer thingy is gone.. where could i score a good used one?

You can find them at a junkyard or a parts company like latemodelrestoration. The parking brake has nothing to do with nose dive, though. Your hydraulic part of the brake system is bad or your suspension is shot.

try prestige in Ga.
It might be possible that you have no rear brakes period if the cables are gone.
pull your rear wheels and take a look to make sure the brakes are there. I have seen worse things on second hand Mustangs........don't know why but people have a tendincy to remove things.
