Default Porting stock intake

I was planning on buying a typhoon intake in a few weeks, but my friend is gonna be in town from college for a few weeks and while he is here he wants to port his intake manifold. I was thinking while we were at it we could do mine too. Is it worth it to port out the upper and lower stock intake? If that will make a noticable difference, I could save the money i was going to spend on the typhoon for something else.

Well the port and polish kit is only like 40 bucks, it will make a difference but not as much as an aftermarket one. If you get the typhoon you will need to port and polish it anyways, I say wait till you get the typhoon and go ahead and get the port and polish and do your buddies heads unless he was going to send them in.

yeah on mine i would just be gasket matching for the most part. Im not really looking for a lot of performance out of it, just wondering you guys recommend it and if it would be worth the time. I think it would be fun to try but then again ive never done it before...

yeah i figured i wouldnt notice too much. i think i will just wait to get the typhoon then port that and gasket match my heads. After doing those things, would it be alright to put in the e cam that i already have? Or would i still need new heads also before it would be a good idea?
