You do realize that diagram isn't for your car right.....the wiring is different at the cluster for the 90-93 and the 87-89. I do not have the schematic in front of me at the moment.... sorry....
Just bc you have continuity doesn't mean it is a good wire. you need to set the multimeter to the OHMS reading (horse shoe looking symbol) and then check. it should be 5 ohms or less....not 5k...not 5m.... just 5 or less...

yes i understand the whole resistance thing. it was all good. I found another diagram that i was using. Theres a lot of wires and plugs that were left over from the swap, and im not quite sure what the guy did so i think im going to go through everything and take out what doesnt need to be, and rewire what isnt there or is wrong. thanks for the help projectresto
