Default Tie Rod, Ball joint? Worse??!

So, Im trying to get my pony back into good shape, starting with making sure everything mechanical is working properly. This was going fine until about two weeks ago. When pulling out of my driveway I cut the wheels all the way to the left, and when pulling out I heard a small popping/metal clicking. It was soft and didn't happen again for about a week so I forgot about it. Then, about five days ago I heard it again, louder this time. The last few times I've pulled out its gotten a lot worse. I was hoping someone on here might have an idea what I'm looking for as the culprit. I've never really messed with the front suspension other than to make sure Im not gonna mess it up when I jack up the front end. I've searched the web a bit and can't seem to find anyone with a simular problem. Its Christmas, so I'm gonna work on it a little before things get going, hopefully by the time Monday rolls around one of you awesome people with have gotten back with me. Pony is a '91 5.0 Convertible.

-Slightly worried with winter on the way,

Check for the bolts at the top of the front suspension not being quite tight enough. That happened to my car once. Got progressively worse over the course of a couple weeks. I got tires put on the car and asked the mechanic to identify the problem, and he found and fixed it without charging extra. Mighty good of him.

Check your front spring insulators as well while under it. They are the rubber boots that go at the end of each spring. Sometimes when you turn in just the right manner the spring gets bound up for a second then releases giving you your noise. Or check the front swaybar bushings and endlinks sometimes they snap due to age and gives you a similar noise as well! Let us know what you find!

!!!!! Well the fix was easier and a lot scarier than I thought. I jacked it up and pulled the front wheels off to get a better look at my suspension. And low and behold, the retaining bolts on my caliper were NOT in. one was loose, and the other only held in by the wheel. Ima keep an eye on em to make sure the bolts arent needing replaced, but as of now the pony is back in good shape.
