Default aerospace brake installation

im done searching and i have an issue.

everyone and their grand mother says you cant use 4cyl springs on a 5 lug swap for some reason, BUT the 93 4cyl spindles are the same as gt spindles 86 and earlier. Well if im using an aerospace kit and order one for 86 GT will i be ok. im not interested in hunting more spindles or getting PA's cause i have 4 sets laying around. I would love for someone to tell me the physical differences between a set of 93 GT spindles and 93 4cyl spindles.

I really dunno why you would have to change springs with a 5 lug swap.
I think '86 and earlier used a spindle where the mount for the shock was wider than the later cars.......

Maybe thats why it took awhile...

i meant spindles. But the thickness of the srut mount seems to be the concensus as well.

Yeah. I remember running into that problem on my car when I swapped in my k-member. My stock struts had shims in them and at the time I had some strange struts going in and I couldnt get the shims in. I called MM about that and they told me I shouldnt need shims. When I got my bilstiens from MM with their coil-overs the ears were much closer together and it was impossible to get a shim in there.
