yea im taking it to a shop nd having em run some tests for free... then doing the work myself

^ Don't waste people's time like that... they need to be compensated for their services.

Taking it to a shop, as mentioned, will probably yield progress. If you don't, may I suggest going to a local auto parts store and shelling out $30 for a OBD-1 Ford code reader... It will tell you a few things and help started narrowing down the issue(s). Also, have you taken the oxygen senors out yet, or no?
