Default Hesitation when first started

Hi, I am new to the forum and looking for advice. I have a 95 gt with 48k miles. When I first start it and rev the engine slightly, it hesitates and sometimes backfires from inside the engine bay. I was thinking it was a stuck valve but I'm not sure. Once it runs for a few minutes, it's fine. Does anyone have any ideas? I just did plugs, wires, coil, cap, rotor, and a CAI. I am doing the GT40 intake swap soon so if anyone thinks its a stuck valve, whats the best way to fix this? Thanks!!!

Any sort of valve issue wouldn't resolve itself by warming up. You likely have coolant temp sensor issues.

Thanks for the response. Where is this sensor located? Is it in the lower intake?

That would be in the front of the heater coolant tubes. (Passenger side front of intake)
