here i a good 1 one, my 88 stang when you take the key completly out of the ignition the radio stays powered up and so do the windows and power locks its very strange. any ideas on what may b causing this

sounds like you need a new ingnition switch.

thats kinda what i was thinking i was just out messing with it and if you wiggle the deal where the key goes into the chime comes on

also it was replaced not that long ago maybe a year ago

89 mustangs had a recall on the ignition switch. But that probably wont help you lol.

the recall is still in effect have forn run the vin to see if it was done....

you can start by doing a google search, there is a lot of info out there. Like vfast said call ford and talk to them, i need to also to see how a recall works i heard you still have to pay the labor but the parts are free not sure how its done.

well i just went and bought the ign switch and put it in and that didnot fix my prob, could it poss be in the lok and tumbler??
i only paid 14 bucks for the switch
