Default Windshield Wipers

The windshield wipers in my '89 are awful loud, and sort of jerky... is this normal? I hope I explained this right... they work fine, but they make a lot of unnecessary noise, it seems.

Eric, go get a decent set of bosch wiper blades, they cost more but don't make noise, also wax your windshield, you may laugh but the water will bead up and shoot off the windshield like rainx does, or just use rainx if you don't like the wax idea

Thanks, Mike. It didn't even occur to me that it could be the wiper blades... I bet you're right (as usual)... potentially old (I have no idea how old they are) wiper blades on an un-waxed windshield = drag... that would explain the noise and jerky operation. Thanks! I am going to get some new blades and rainx.

MJR, what's your DD, a Bentley?

Can't say I blame you, foxes are no fun to drive in the rain. Bet a honda could smoke me in the rain. LOL
