Default sct eliminator chip

Hey. I recently bought a sct eliminator chip for my 89 mustang. I bought it not knowing much about it which was a dumb idea. That being said, I wanted to get some input from anyone else who might have this same chip to maybe give me some insight about how it works and if I didnt make a mistake buying this thing for my car.

you wasted your money. Hopefully you bought it recently, and can send it back.

Well unfortunately for me there are no returns on chips or tuners from where I bought it. I was going to just put it in the car anyway, even though I dont need it. I just didnt want to put it in the car and then have a bunch of problems anytime I change a part on my car.

dont even bother installing it. You will not benefit from it at all. Put it up for sale.

if it is just a generic tune on the chip, all that really it'll do is change the fuel tables a tad and timing curve, something you can do by advancing the distrubutor = change timing, sct chips are only benificial when needed for a custom tune such as in boosted applications or a wilder n/a application, if your ride is mainly stock, the generic chips don't provide any real benifit
