I don't know how much money you're willing to spend bob, but depending on your car and if it's two tone or whatever there are ways you can even add too much to a car and make it look cheesy rather than artistic or tasteful. Local stores should have wheels for your car if money isn't an issue. Do your homework as to the correct dimesions of wheel height, depth, and backspacing and you can make your car look sweet. Even taking a step taller such as an inch or so can improve looks. I think stock wheels are 14" so maybe look into 15 or 16 inch. Again, it's all money issues.

A cheap way to make a car eye catching as hard as it is to believe is pinstriping. You don't need big gawky things to catch people's eye and this is definitely true of pinstriping. You can even do it yourself. They make vairous colors and even make metallic colors too. Get a roll or two to practice with. Changing how hard you push on the tape as you apply it you can make curves and other figures. Important thing is to keep in mind the big picture... the lines your car already has and do something creative you like. It's about making your car how you want it, not what everyone else has. If you have any questions let me know. peace
