Default do i need to do more before i take off the lower intake and stuff? (pic)

this is where im at.
going to go pick up a 15/16 socket so i can turn the crank to line up the distributor rotor before i take it out, because im under the impression i have to take it out, and i havent heard back anything to the contrary in one of my other threads.
so, assume i will take out the distributor.and move the fuel rail is there anything obvious or not so obvious i still need to do? im a little worried about that wiring harness that runs down the driver side for the injectors. it has a line that goes to the fron and down to the bottom and its connected to at least 2 things. it would be pretty difficult for me to get under there and disconnect it. i can move it in each direction to get it out of the way, but still.

thanks in advance for any help

If you plan to remove the manifold completely, I STRONGLY suggest you remove the block drain plug from the passenger side of the engine to drain more coolant. If you dont, it will all end up inside the crankcase, or worse yet, down and intake runner.

you should also completely remove the wiring harness.

yes, i realized right after i took the t-stat off that i forgot to drain the coolant. i was planning to disconnect the hose that goes to the bottom of the radiator. will that do the trick, or will some coolant be trapped someplace? if i do the hose, and you say i still need to do the drain plug, is this plug fairly obvious to find?

damn on removing the harness! ok, i will do it
