Hey guys

well last week I went to the track drove 2 hours there ran 6 times and drove the 2 hours back went out and did a few things along with some high way pulls as well. Almost back at my house pull it down in 2nd gear rip it real quick let out at 5500 push the clutch in no noises or anything my car shuts off I try to start it and turns over and over not hitting a lick.

Haven't had time to mess with it until today I thought it could be the ignition module off my old dizzy didn't work I was just gonna swap the dizzy's incase the pick up went out and I couldn't pull my dizzy out the motor. I get it up past the O-ring and it stops and locks in then will not budge.

I pushed it back down in there turned the car over and the rotor button isn't turning either soooo joy. Chances are did I break the gear or the rod inside?? and How should I go about trying to get it out? Also when I do get it out what all should I inspect to make sure nothing else is damaged?

Sorry for the long post and any help right now would be great b/c I need the car back on the road soon.

May have sheared the pin that goes through the gear.

Sounds like gear is catching on the cam. Not sure of a way to get it out though short of pulling the motor and getting at it from the crankcase. I had an Accel dizzy lockup. Destroyed the dizzy but i was about to pull it out. Hold thing spun when I pulled it out.

Got the dizzy out by using a certain pry bar from work and found my problem...



You can see here how worn the teeth are on the right one





And I believe this is why the car shut off.
