I had an 89 gt that I cut one coil off the top of the stock coil springs. With a set of lake wood upper and lower control arms, leaveing at 4200 rpm dumping the clutch I was pullung 1.69 sixty footers.......Not bad for a bone stock block and heads with bolt-ons.But I never cut the front to match ride height so it sat down a little in the back.

It seems like you're talking about two different things. Lowering springs ususally have a higher spring rate to make car stiffer. Car will handle turns better because of stiffness. Track cars like softer springs in front and harder in rear for weight transfer. They have 90/10 springs for front and 50/50 springs for rear. Drag springs do not not handle as well on the street.

i understand what you're saying...but i was just wondering if there is any springs out there that will perform like drag springs while also lowering the car. or if there are any tricks to accomplish this.

I'm not sure what the ride height is (higher or lower) with drag shocks. The only other option is coil overs in which the ride height is adjustable.

I know the eibach drag springs lower the car about a half an inch.

90/10s are struts, 50/50s are shocks not springs.
