then a wise move would be to check the thickness of them with a micrometer.

Around a 0.71 if I can remember right. I'll be back in there tonight, so I'll double check.

Wow. Well my sources indicate that a plain 'ol GT rotor is 0.550 out of the box, with 0.50 as the minimal thickness. Take that for what you will, I really can't put together the pieces of this puzzle without being there.

same. I dont have a micrometer to go check mine.

OP, you do know the difference between a vented and solid rotor.... right? We aren't talking about cross drilled and slotted.

I do have a micrometer to check, it's just not something I usually have to do..

Yes, I do know the difference.. this whole mess is exactly that.. I don't really care what has to be done. I just want my pony back on the road.

problem is the pads. most part stores have the same listing for cobras and GT's

You can either get pads from the dealership, or sand them down slightly to make them thinner.

No way around it. Sorry.

Yeah I did a little looking into the size of the pads.. the silvers are .673 inches and the golds are listed as 14.9mm for some reason which is .58 inches.. so more than likely those need to be purchased.. it's super ridiculous the trouble just to hold a car over until the correct rotors get here.. Thanks for all of your help!
