93+ had hypereutectic pistons. Not as strong as forged but they have less expansion which means they have less gap between the piston head and cylinder wall. The gap was required on forged pistons because on start up the piston head is smaller than at running temperature.

93 engines were still called H.O. if i remember correctly...

some more pics. got the heads in today. roller rockers are in, went and picked up my pushrods from mustangs unlimited. should have her finished up tomorrow.

got her all finished up. fired on the first try and actually stayed running. got a minor vacuum leak which got narrowed down to the fuel regulator and i have a header gasket that needs to be replaced. other than that a successful build. some more pics of final product on the link in my original post.

lol. its not a drag car. straight lines are useless. however i will agree and when i get it on the dyno i will post those results

USELESS????? The mustang is the perfect drag car. Lot better places to start if you want a canyon carver.
