Default Adjustable clutch cables

I have the UPR 3 peice adjustable clutch cable with the firewall adjuster. the other day i noticed a creaking sound when i pushed in the clutch pedal and it also felt like the pedal was much easier to push in. so today i crawled underneith there to check it out and found that my cable is shreading underneith the dash. so i need to get a new cable. im gonna try and go to this speed shop tomorrow to get one. but do you guys have any pointers or tricks to keep this from happening again? also what is the correct way to adjust your clutch with one of these. i had it pretty good before it started to shread, but i just want to make sure im doing this right.

Default RE: Adjustable clutch cables

I had the same problem, i have the steeda double hook quadrent, firewall adjuster, and a stock cable from checker. That lasted about a day so i ditched the firewall adjuster and bought a steeda clutch cable, and haven't had a problem since.
